As a business owner, I understand what it takes to thrive in a fast-paced economy: you have to be light on your feet and willing to make hard decisions. The world is changing fast, and old methods won't always work in a digital marketplace.

I have a plan to attract high-paying jobs to our community without straining our traffic and infrastructure. Most economic development focuses on incentivizing large companies to move here. I want to incentivize remote workers to move here and bring their jobs with them. High-speed internet lets many executives work from home — why not make that home here in Volusia? We can revitalize blighted areas, brighten our civic aura, and increase economic opportunity without growing our footprint.

I'll work to diversify our economy, strengthen our existing tax base, and support small businesses to build long-term resilience. I have a plan to emulate projects like Tulsa Remote and attract innovative entrepreneurs and businesses to take root in Volusia County.

We don't have to choose between economic strength and environmental protection — we can have both. With smart planning and the right partnerships, we can grow the economy, create jobs, and preserve our beautiful wild places for generations to come.
